The B student’s profile

A student at B typically has no major foundation gap and handles the routine questions well. What holds them at B is usually some mix of:

• Inconsistency: strong on some topics, shaky on others, so a paper that leans on a weaker area costs a grade.
• The harder question types: the multi-step, applied questions that go beyond the standard routine.
• Execution under pressure: small, repeated slips and timing issues that a top student has trained out.

Close the topic inconsistency

An A requires no weak topics, because the single-tier paper can lean anywhere. Use a past-paper error log to find which topics your marks cluster in, then shore up the laggards. These are still method-based, but the method is longer and the setup harder. Drilling them until the approach is instinctive is the core of the B-to-A work.
