Cempaka Schools, with campuses in the Damansara and Cheras areas, is a well-known Malaysian international school group, and its students sit the same Cambridge IGCSE Add Math (0606) as everyone else. It is always worth confirming the current 0606 pathway with the school, since programmes are reviewed periodically. This page is for Cempaka families wanting independent 1-to-1 help with 0606, we’re not affiliated with the school.

When Add Math feels like a step up

A very common experience: a student comfortable in regular IGCSE Maths (0580) suddenly finds Add Math (0606) much harder. That’s expected, 0606 is the second, harder maths IGCSE, covering early A Level content at 16. The reassuring part is that its difficulty is method-based, the calculus routines, the trig identities, the P&C formulae, all yield to drilling. 1-to-1 turns that step-up from a source of anxiety into a set of learnable routines.

How the online 1-to-1 works

Classes are online, no commute, with a 0606 specialist vetted by our founder, aligned to the school’s order, with past-paper practice on top. Rate is RM80–90/hr in 1.5-hour sessions.

Are you affiliated with Cempaka?
No. We're an independent online tutoring service supporting Cempaka students with Cambridge IGCSE Add Math 0606, working alongside the school's own teaching.
My child finds Add Math much harder than regular IGCSE Maths. Is that normal?
Completely. Add Math (0606) is Cambridge's second, harder maths IGCSE, covering early A Level material at 16, so it feels a step up from IGCSE Maths (0580). The difficulty is method-based and trainable, though, which is exactly what focused 1-to-1 work addresses.
