Mutiara International Grammar School is in Ampang, on the eastern side of Kuala Lumpur near the city’s diplomatic and expatriate community. Its students preparing for Cambridge IGCSE 0606 sit the same papers as everyone else. A school’s exam pathway can change over time, so it is worth confirming the current 0606 route with them directly. Complementing good teaching, not duplicating it

Common questions

My child's class at Mutiara is small and well taught. Is a tutor still worth it?
It can be, even alongside good small-class teaching. A tutor isn't a substitute for the school; it's targeted, one-to-one attention on your child's specific sticking points and on exam technique, which even a small class can't fully personalise. If the aim is a top grade, that individual focus on the last recurring errors and on past-paper timing is often what closes the final gap. We complement the school's teaching rather than duplicating it.
Do you follow the school's teaching order?
