Common questions

My child at Nexus is heading toward the IB. Does Add Math still matter?
Yes, a great deal. For a student going on to IB Higher Level Maths or A Level, the calculus, functions and trigonometry in 0606 are the exact groundwork those courses assume. A student who understands the Add Math methods, rather than having pattern-matched to a grade, starts the next stage on firm ground. So getting 0606 genuinely solid is one of the best investments toward a strong IB or A Level result.
Do you follow the school's teaching order?
Yes. We build each student's programme around their own class sequence so tutoring reinforces current schoolwork, then layer exam technique and marked past-paper practice on top. We are independent and not affiliated with Nexus; we support students who attend it.
