Alor Setar Tutor Jobs: Teach 0606 from Home
We are adding 0606 specialists to our tutor bench, and Alor Setar is one of the places our students and tutors come from. You teach from home; we handle the families, the matching and the scheduling.
Teaching 0606 from Alor Setar
Alor Setar sits well beyond the tuition belts of Penang and the Klang Valley, so Kedah students who want a genuine 0606 specialist have usually faced a long drive. A tutor based in the far north who teaches online closes that gap for families who would otherwise go without.
Alor Setar has a smaller Cambridge cohort than the big Klang Valley hubs, which is exactly why online 1-to-1 tutoring matters there. A tutor who knows Kedah can relate to students' school calendars and private-candidate routes.
Alor Setar is one of 3 Kedah locations we serve, alongside Kulim and Sungai Petani.
The work
Expect to teach across all 14 syllabus topics, from functions and quadratics to calculus and vectors, and to train both papers, including the non-calculator Paper 1.
Who we are looking for
You do not need a teaching certificate to apply. You do need to pass our mark-scheme check and an observed teaching session, because that is the same bar every tutor on our bench has cleared.
- Confident teaching for the non-calculator Paper 1, including exact values and surd and index work that 0606 treats as assumed knowledge.
- Clear, patient explanation for one student at a time, on video with a shared whiteboard.
The full requirements are on the role page.
Pay and roles
From RM80/hr, subject to experience and availability. Each new student's 1-hour trial class is paid at your normal rate. The role is freelance and part-time: you teach the weekly hours you offer. Read the full part-time role.
Parents see this side of the service on our online Add Math tutoring page for Alor Setar.
