Ipoh Tutor Jobs: Teach 0606 from Home
This page is for tutors based in or near Ipoh. The work is fully online, so being local is not a requirement, but we like knowing the schools and the school calendar our students in Perak live by.
Teaching 0606 from Ipoh
Ipoh has more Cambridge students than many people expect. Tenby International School Ipoh and Fairview International School Ipoh both run IGCSE streams, and Perak homeschoolers regularly sit 0606 as private candidates. Specialist tuition has not grown to match, so an Ipoh-based tutor teaching online fills a gap.
Ipoh has a smaller Cambridge cohort than the big Klang Valley hubs, which is exactly why online 1-to-1 tutoring matters there. A tutor who knows Perak can relate to students' school calendars and private-candidate routes.
Ipoh is one of 3 Perak locations we serve, alongside Taiping and Teluk Intan.
The work
Classes are 1-to-1 on video with a shared whiteboard. You correct the student's working live, set and mark work between classes, and in exam season move the student onto timed past-paper practice.
Who we are looking for
School teachers in Ipoh who want a few extra evening students, experienced private tutors who want steadier 0606 work, and graduates with strong 0606 results who can explain it clearly have all made good applications.
- A stable internet connection, a quiet space, and a way to write working live (a tablet with stylus or a graphics tablet).
- Willingness to be observed teaching by our founder and to teach our shared, exam-focused method.
The full requirements are on the role page.
