Kuching Tutor Jobs: Teach 0606 from Home
Families in Kuching who prepare for Cambridge IGCSE Additional Mathematics enquire with us for specialist 1-to-1 help, and every one of those classes runs online. That means the tutor who teaches them can live in Kuching or anywhere else in Malaysia.
Teaching 0606 from Kuching
Lodge International School and Tunku Putra-HELP International School give Kuching the strongest Cambridge presence in Sarawak. Many families here see IGCSE as the first step towards A Levels or pre-university study in KL, Singapore or Australia, so tutors who build solid foundations for that next stage suit Kuching students.
Online teaching means a tutor in Kuching can teach a student in another state the same evening. We match by fit, so applicants from Sarawak are welcome for students anywhere in Malaysia.
Kuching is one of 4 Sarawak locations we serve, alongside Bintulu, Miri and Sibu.
The work
Expect to teach across all 14 syllabus topics, from functions and quadratics to calculus and vectors, and to train both papers, including the non-calculator Paper 1.
Who we are looking for
You do not need a teaching certificate to apply. You do need to pass our mark-scheme check and an observed teaching session, because that is the same bar every tutor on our bench has cleared.
- Clear, patient explanation for one student at a time, on video with a shared whiteboard.
- Confident teaching for the non-calculator Paper 1, including exact values and surd and index work that 0606 treats as assumed knowledge.
The full requirements are on the role page.
Pay and roles
From RM80/hr, subject to experience and availability. Each new student's 1-hour trial class is paid at your normal rate. The role is freelance and part-time: you teach the weekly hours you offer. Read the full part-time role.
