Bangsar Tutor Jobs: Teach 0606 from Home

Families in Bangsar who prepare for Cambridge IGCSE Additional Mathematics enquire with us for specialist 1-to-1 help, and every one of those classes runs online. That means the tutor who teaches them can live in Bangsar or anywhere else in Malaysia.

Teaching 0606 from Bangsar

Bangsar's long-established professional and expat community sends children to schools such as Alice Smith School and St John's International, most sitting 0606 in Year 11. Families here expect specialist teaching, and tutors who know these schools' expectations fit in well.

Bangsar has a smaller Cambridge cohort than the big Klang Valley hubs, which is exactly why online 1-to-1 tutoring matters there. A tutor who knows Kuala Lumpur can relate to students' school calendars and private-candidate routes.

Bangsar is one of 9 Kuala Lumpur locations we serve, alongside Ampang, Bukit Jalil, Cheras, Kepong and Kuala Lumpur and others.

The work

Classes are 1-to-1 on video with a shared whiteboard. You correct the student's working live, set and mark work between classes, and in exam season move the student onto timed past-paper practice.

Who we are looking for

We value patience as much as mathematics. A student who has been stuck on logarithms for a month needs someone calm enough to find the one misunderstanding underneath it.

  • Genuine fluency in the Cambridge IGCSE Additional Mathematics 0606 syllabus, across all 14 topics and both papers.
  • Mark-scheme fluency: you know where method (M), accuracy (A) and independent (B) marks are earned, and you teach students to write working that collects them.

The full requirements are on the role page.

Pay and roles

From RM80/hr, subject to experience and availability. Each new student's 1-hour trial class is paid at your normal rate. The role is freelance and part-time: you teach the weekly hours you offer. Read the full part-time role.
