Bukit Jalil Tutor Jobs: Teach 0606 from Home
This page is for tutors based in or near Bukit Jalil. The work is fully online, so being local is not a requirement, but we like knowing the schools and the school calendar our students in Kuala Lumpur live by.
Teaching 0606 from Bukit Jalil
Bukit Jalil has grown from a sports-city fringe into a residential and education district, with international schools and campuses around the National Sports Complex. Its students share the southern corridor's specialist bench with neighbouring Puchong, and local tutors help keep that bench strong.
Students in the Klang Valley follow the same Cambridge 0606 syllabus and sit the same papers as everyone else, so what we test is your grip on the syllabus and the mark scheme, not your postcode.
Bukit Jalil is one of 9 Kuala Lumpur locations we serve, alongside Ampang, Bangsar, Cheras, Kepong and Kuala Lumpur and others.
The work
A typical week means teaching assigned students in fixed weekly slots, marking the working they send in, and preparing from past papers and mark schemes so each class targets where marks are being lost.
Who we are looking for
Whether you teach in a Kuala Lumpur school now, tutor privately or recently finished a mathematics-heavy degree, the test is the same: can you teach 0606 so the marks follow.
- Confident teaching for the non-calculator Paper 1, including exact values and surd and index work that 0606 treats as assumed knowledge.
- Clear, patient explanation for one student at a time, on video with a shared whiteboard.
The full requirements are on the role page.
Pay and roles
From RM80/hr, subject to experience and availability. Each new student's 1-hour trial class is paid at your normal rate. The role is freelance and part-time: you teach the weekly hours you offer. Read the full part-time role.
Parents see this side of the service on our online Add Math tutoring page for Bukit Jalil.
