Your Add Math Study Schedule: 1 Month Before the Exam

A month out, the goal changes. There isn’t time to learn the syllabus from the ground up, so the work shifts from learning to consolidating and performing. For a student with reasonable foundations, this final month is where technique and full-paper practice convert knowledge into marks. The risk is spending it re-reading notes instead of doing papers.

Week 1: consolidate and triage

Start by taking stock. A full past paper reveals what’s solid and what’s still leaking. Then triage: with limited time, secure the high-frequency topics first, calculus, trigonometry, quadratics, and address the biggest weak spots. If a major topic is genuinely missing, learn it now and quickly; if only minor gaps remain, don’t let perfectionism crowd out paper practice.

Weeks 2–3: full papers, thoroughly reviewed

This is the heart of the final month: full timed papers, each one properly reviewed before the next. Alternate Paper 1 and Paper 2 so both the non-calculator and calculator skills stay sharp. The review is where the marks come from: for every lost mark, re-attempt the question, decide if it was execution or understanding, and log the fix.

Aim for roughly two full papers a week, fully reviewed, not more done carelessly. By now your error log should be clustering into two or three recurring leaks, fix those at the source.

Week 4: taper and sharpen

In the final week, taper the volume and sharpen the edges: revisit your formula list, reread your error log so the personal traps are fresh, and do lighter, targeted practice rather than exhausting full papers every day. The detailed final-week and night-before plans matter here.
