Teaching 0606 from Bandar Utama

Bandar Utama, in the Damansara belt near 1 Utama, is full of general maths centres and group classes that move at the room's pace. A 1-to-1 tutor who teaches at the student's pace, against the 0606 mark scheme, offers something those centres do not.

A tutor in Bandar Utama who knows when Selangor schools run their mock exams and holidays can plan revision around them. That local sense is a bonus; the 0606 paper itself is the same everywhere.

Bandar Utama is one of 15 Selangor locations we serve, alongside Bandar Baru Bangi, Bandar Sunway, Cyberjaya, Gombak and Kajang and others.

The work

Expect to teach across all 14 syllabus topics, from functions and quadratics to calculus and vectors, and to train both papers, including the non-calculator Paper 1.

Who we are looking for

You do not need a teaching certificate to apply. You do need to pass our mark-scheme check and an observed teaching session, because that is the same bar every tutor on our bench has cleared.

  • Willingness to be observed teaching by our founder and to teach our shared, exam-focused method.
  • A stable internet connection, a quiet space, and a way to write working live (a tablet with stylus or a graphics tablet).

The full requirements are on the role page.

Pay and roles

From RM80/hr, subject to experience and availability. Each new student's 1-hour trial class is paid at your normal rate. The role is freelance and part-time: you teach the weekly hours you offer. Read the full part-time role.

Questions from Bandar Utama applicants

I teach group classes in Damansara. How is this different?
Every class here is 1-to-1, so you teach to one student's working rather than a room. Many group-class teachers enjoy the chance to go deeper.
How much does the role pay?
From RM80/hr, subject to experience and availability. The rate rises with how long the assigned tutor has taught the 0606 syllabus. Tell us your expected hourly rate in your WhatsApp application.
Do I need to live in Bandar Utama to apply?
No. Every class is online, so you can teach from anywhere in Malaysia. This page exists because many of our students and applicants are in Selangor, and local knowledge of school calendars is a plus.
Is the trial class paid?
Yes. Every student starts with a 1-hour trial class taught by their assigned tutor, charged at that tutor's normal rate. You are paid for it like any other class.
