Gombak Tutor Jobs: Teach 0606 from Home
We are adding 0606 specialists to our tutor bench, and Gombak is one of the places our students and tutors come from. You teach from home; we handle the families, the matching and the scheduling.
Teaching 0606 from Gombak
Gombak stretches from KL's northeastern edge toward Batu Caves, Selayang and the Genting road, and reaching specialists in KL or PJ means a real drive. A tutor based on this fringe who teaches online saves families that weeknight commute.
Gombak has a smaller Cambridge cohort than the big Klang Valley hubs, which is exactly why online 1-to-1 tutoring matters there. A tutor who knows Selangor can relate to students' school calendars and private-candidate routes.
Gombak is one of 15 Selangor locations we serve, alongside Bandar Baru Bangi, Bandar Sunway, Bandar Utama, Cyberjaya and Kajang and others.
The work
Classes are 1-to-1 on video with a shared whiteboard. You correct the student's working live, set and mark work between classes, and in exam season move the student onto timed past-paper practice.
Who we are looking for
We value patience as much as mathematics. A student who has been stuck on logarithms for a month needs someone calm enough to find the one misunderstanding underneath it.
- Willingness to be observed teaching by our founder and to teach our shared, exam-focused method.
- A stable internet connection, a quiet space, and a way to write working live (a tablet with stylus or a graphics tablet).
The full requirements are on the role page.
Pay and roles
From RM80/hr, subject to experience and availability. Each new student's 1-hour trial class is paid at your normal rate. The role is freelance and part-time: you teach the weekly hours you offer. Read the full part-time role.
Parents see this side of the service on our online Add Math tutoring page for Gombak.
