Petaling Jaya Tutor Jobs: Teach 0606 from Home
Our online tutor bench is open to 0606 specialists in Petaling Jaya. Parents come to us for one thing, a tutor who knows the Cambridge Additional Mathematics paper, and we need more people who can teach it well.
Teaching 0606 from Petaling Jaya
Petaling Jaya has Sri KDU Kota Damansara, Taylor's International, HELP International School and Sri Aria, plus the dense tuition scene of SS2 and Damansara. PJ families have options but lack specialist options, which is the gap our tutors fill.
A tutor in Petaling Jaya who knows when Selangor schools run their mock exams and holidays can plan revision around them. That local sense is a bonus; the 0606 paper itself is the same everywhere.
Petaling Jaya is one of 15 Selangor locations we serve, alongside Bandar Baru Bangi, Bandar Sunway, Bandar Utama, Cyberjaya and Gombak and others. Our Petaling Jaya page names Sri KDU Kota Damansara, Taylor's International School and Sri Aria School among the schools local families attend.
The work
You teach on video with a shared whiteboard, keep short notes on each student's progress, and send parents a brief update so they know what changed this week.
Who we are looking for
We value patience as much as mathematics. A student who has been stuck on logarithms for a month needs someone calm enough to find the one misunderstanding underneath it.
- Genuine fluency in the Cambridge IGCSE Additional Mathematics 0606 syllabus, across all 14 topics and both papers.
- Mark-scheme fluency: you know where method (M), accuracy (A) and independent (B) marks are earned, and you teach students to write working that collects them.
The full requirements are on the role page.
Pay and roles
From RM80/hr, subject to experience and availability. Each new student's 1-hour trial class is paid at your normal rate. The role is freelance and part-time: you teach the weekly hours you offer. Read the full part-time role.
