Teaching 0606 from Selangor

A tutor in Selangor who knows when Selangor schools run their mock exams and holidays can plan revision around them. That local sense is a bonus; the 0606 paper itself is the same everywhere.

We serve families in 15 cities in Selangor: Bandar Baru Bangi, Bandar Sunway, Bandar Utama, Cyberjaya, Gombak, Kajang, Klang, Petaling Jaya, Puchong, Rawang, Semenyih, Sepang, Shah Alam, Subang Jaya and Sungai Buloh. Schools named on those pages include Sri KDU Kota Damansara, Taylor's International School, Sri Aria School and HELP International School.

The work

Your job is the teaching. Each student meets you in a paid 1-hour trial class first, then keeps you as their weekly tutor, so progress compounds instead of resetting with a new face.

Who we are looking for

We value patience as much as mathematics. A student who has been stuck on logarithms for a month needs someone calm enough to find the one misunderstanding underneath it.

  • Willingness to be observed teaching by our founder and to teach our shared, exam-focused method.
  • A stable internet connection, a quiet space, and a way to write working live (a tablet with stylus or a graphics tablet).

The full requirements are on the role page.

Pay and roles

From RM80/hr, subject to experience and availability. Each new student's 1-hour trial class is paid at your normal rate. The role is freelance and part-time: you teach the weekly hours you offer. Read the full part-time role.

Questions from Selangor applicants

Is the trial class paid?
Yes. Every student starts with a 1-hour trial class taught by their assigned tutor, charged at that tutor's normal rate. You are paid for it like any other class.
Is this a freelance role?
Yes. This is a freelance, part-time role: you teach the weekly hours you offer, not salaried employment.
How much does the role pay?
From RM80/hr, subject to experience and availability. The rate rises with how long the assigned tutor has taught the 0606 syllabus. Tell us your expected hourly rate in your WhatsApp application.
Do I need to live in Selangor to apply?
No. Every class is online, so you can teach from anywhere in Malaysia. This page exists because many of our students and applicants are in Selangor, and local knowledge of school calendars is a plus.
